"The beauty and fascination of the Caribbean Islands is a treasure that needs to be taken care of. So called modern agriculture with its tendency to monoculture and industrialisation has a devastating impact. Despite all the propaganda around "green revolutions" and genetic engineering is the future for organic agriculture. And this has to be because otherwise there is no future in agriculture. The organic movement in the Caribbean region is still a small and fragile plant that needs watering and fertilising. The OIC initiative has taken on the responsibility to make sure that this beautiful plant is prospering.
